Ocean Winds celebrates major milestone in Îles d'Yeu and Noirmoutier offshore wind project

Ocean Winds is pleased to announce a significant advancement in our Îles d'Yeu and Noirmoutier offshore wind project with the successful installation of the offshore substation.

On June 13th, the offshore substation was expertly installed on its jacket foundation, which had also been positioned earlier this week. Both critical operations were executed by our trusted partner, DEME Group.

Designed by local supplier Chantiers de l'Atlantique, the offshore substation is an engineering marvel, weighing approximately 2,500 tonnes and measuring 39 metres in length, 25.5 metres in width, and 18 metres in height.

Simultaneously, the installation of the project's 61 monopiles, which commenced at the end of May, is progressing steadily. Each day brings us closer to the operational phase of this landmark project.
