Merkur marches ahead

Making significant headway, 22 of the 66 GE Haliade 150-6MW wind turbines have been installed by GeoSea's Seafox 5. The vessel's crane boom was lengthened in preparation for the work and the vessel has been on site since February 2018.

Merkur will cover a 47km² area and is located approximately 45km north of Borkum Island in the North Sea.

The project will have a 396MW capacity and completion is scheduled for the end of 2019. It is anticipated to provide renewable energy to around 500,000 households annually.
