Diverse Marine begins construction of CSOV daughter craft

Diverse Marine is thrilled to announce its selection by VARD GROUP AS to construct a Chartwell Daughter Craft for installation on a VARD 4 19 CSOV, currently being built for PURUS Wind.

The 12-metre catamaran daughter craft, designed by Chartwell Marine in Southampton, features a twin IMO Tier-3 Volvo Penta IPS propulsion system, which aims to reduce emissions while delivering exceptional performance when deployed from the CSOV.

Ben Colman, Director of Diverse Marine, expressed his pride: “I am very proud of this contract award, something different for our small boats team off the back of the small military craft, amphibious CTV, survey vessels, and a fast passenger vessel. If there is sufficient demand for daughter craft of this type, we may consider a stock build program similar to the CTV’s to have craft available without the burden of construction finance and stage payments.”
