CS Wind Offshore completes first transition piece delivery for Virginia Offshore wind project

The first successful load-in of transition pieces (TPs) for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) project was completed at Portsmouth Marine Terminal.

On April 24, the MV Sun Rise departed from CS Wind Offshore's facility in Aalborg, Denmark, carrying six TPs. Weeks later, Dominion Energy received the components at the marshaling harbour in Virginia, marking a significant milestone for the project.

The load-in operation was conducted smoothly under favorable weather conditions, characterized by low wind speeds and clear skies.

CS Wind Offshore looks forward to welcoming the MV Sun Rise back in Aalborg soon for the next shipment of transition pieces.
