C-Ventus wins new O&M contract with innogy

C-Ventus Offshore Windfarm Services has been awarded a 4 year Operations and Maintenance contract by innogy for subsea works at the Nordsee Ost wind farm in Germany.

The contract includes annual ROV inspections of the infrastructure as well as follow-up, remediation works as and when required.

C-Ventus has completed multiple campaigns in Germany in recent years, including corrosion protection/coating repair works, survey assignments and ROV inspections in offshore windfarms Dan Tysk, Butendiek, Veja Mate, Gode Wind as well as Nordsee Ost.

“We are extremely pleased to be awarded this contract as it is in line with our strategy to enter into long term arrangements directly with the operators of offshore windfarms whereby we can provide not only the subsea services but the entire O&M scope, including performance of all ‘above waterline’ works and the supply of suitable crew transfer vessels (CTV’s). With The Netherlands and Belgium considered our home-bases and after setting up an office in the United Kingdom, our focus is very much on Germany and we are convinced that this contract will accelerate further growth in the German sector ” said Hans Reinigert (Managing Director C-Ventus).

The 295.2MW Nordsee Ost wind farm features 48 6.2M 126 Senvion wind turbines, each with a rated power of 6.15MW. The project has been operational since 2015 and produces sufficient power to supply the equivalent of about 320,000 households annually.
