Blaze Manufacturing Solutions, a leading provider of fire safety systems for the global energy sector and part of the Balmoral Group, has announced nearly 100% year-on-year growth. This expansion, equating to over £10 million in order intake, has resulted in a 20% increase in staff at its Laurencekirk headquarters.

The growth surge has been driven by a strategy focusing on sector diversification and international expansion. Over the past year, Blaze has secured significant projects across Europe and the Middle East, with 70% of new orders coming from the renewables sector. The company has also received Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) and FIRAS certifications, boosting its capabilities in the industrial sector.

In a notable win, Blaze secured a major integrated maintenance contract with Ørsted for fire protection and detection on nine North Sea offshore wind assets, including Hornsea 1 and 2, for the next five years. This contract encompasses various systems such as inert gas, compressed air foam, water mist, and all detection and control systems.

Stuart White, Operations Director, expressed pride in Blaze’s significant achievements. "We are immensely proud of Blaze's remarkable growth and the strides we've made in the renewables sector. Our team's dedication and expertise have been pivotal in securing significant contracts and certifications, which not only enhance our service offering but also solidify our position as leaders in fire safety solutions," White said.

In line with its growth, Blaze has strengthened its team with key appointments, including Dr. Greg Carnie as Technical Director, Sandy McCarthy as Commercial Manager, and newly promoted Fire Safety Manager George Stephen. The company plans to continue its recruitment efforts throughout 2024.

Blaze Manufacturing Solutions' success underscores its commitment to innovation and excellence in delivering fire safety solutions to clients worldwide.
